Government backed mortgages not a return to 'bad old days'

Ministers have insisted they are “not going back to the bad old days” with a scheme to underwrite mortgages for first-time buyers.  So is this a return to easy credits with a new name?

It is just to easy a bit of lending by the banks. House prices might go up, economy might start to grow a bit and banks will start to lend. If we don't see relaxed lending by the banks what will happen to economy? may be the world is rolling by to Victorian times.
